Timișoara International MUN is open to delegates from any country. This page has the practical answers you need before you apply — what the fee actually covers, what it doesn't, and how to get here. If something isn't clear, write to us before you pay.

Included in your fee

We say this plainly because it matters: the organiser does not provide or reimburse travel and accommodation. After your place is confirmed we send logistical information and recommendations — but the booking and the cost are yours.

Roughly €20–40 depending on the package. Payment is by card, in RON, through the platform.
Getting here
Travel to Timișoara
By air
Timișoara has its own international airport (TSR), with direct connections to several European cities. Budapest is the nearest large hub if there's no direct route.
By road
Timișoara sits in western Romania, close to the Hungarian and Serbian borders — a comfortable drive or coach ride from Budapest, Belgrade, Szeged or Novi Sad.
By rail
Rail connections run to Budapest and to the main Romanian cities. Journey times are longer than by road, so check schedules before committing.
Where to stay
The city centre has hostels and hotels across price ranges, most within a short ride of the venue. We share recommendations once your place is confirmed.
Before you book
Visas — please read this
Romania is an EU member state. Delegates from the EU, EEA and Switzerland need no visa. Delegates from other countries should check the requirements for their nationality before applying and start the process early — visa appointments can take weeks.
Be aware of one thing in particular: under our terms, a visa refusal or a delay in processing does not entitle you to a refund of the participation fee. We are not being harsh — we simply cannot recover costs already committed on your behalf. So confirm you can travel before you pay.

UNICEF
Children's rights, education and protection. Classic UN procedure — the committee we recommend for first-time delegates.
UNHCR
Displacement, asylum and durable solutions for refugees. Policy-heavy, with genuinely opposed national positions.
INTERPOL
Cross-border crime, trafficking and cybercrime. Fast-paced, with a crisis element.
NATO
Collective defence and security strategy in the North Atlantic Council. The most technical of the four.
Press Corps
The conference newsroom — cover committees, interview delegates and publish during the three days. The most affordable package.
